1. Who we are
Effective date: October 11, 2026
Welcome Passion ("we," "us") offers online courses and digital products for LinkedIn, resumes and interviewing, including AI prompts, a resume library, workbooks and other resources, along with related emails and webinars (together, the "Services"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Our courses are hosted on Thinkific. Thinkific processes your information on our behalf to run the course site, and its own privacy policy also applies to that processing.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to deliver the Services and keep in touch with you.
Category | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
Contact and account | Name, email address, password (stored by Thinkific) | You, when you sign up or buy |
Purchase | Product bought, price, date, billing country, last four digits of your card | You and our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. |
Course activity | Lessons completed, quiz or survey answers, login times | Thinkific, as you use our courses |
What you send us | Emails, support requests, feedback, testimonials, anything you choose to share about your LinkedIn profile, resume, interviews or career | You |
Device and usage | Browser type, operating system, device type, IP address, pages viewed | Cookies and similar tools (section 7) |
We don't ask for, and you shouldn't send us, sensitive information such as government ID numbers, health details or financial account numbers.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Give you access to the products you buy and deliver their materials
- Process payments, refunds and receipts
- Answer your questions and provide support
- Send service messages, such as purchase confirmations, access details and important policy updates
- Send marketing emails about new courses, resources and offers, if you've agreed or haven't opted out (section 4)
- Understand how our products are used so we can improve it
- Prevent fraud, protect our content and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
If you are in the EU or UK, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (course access, payments, support); your consent (marketing where required, non-essential cookies); our legitimate interests (improving the course, preventing fraud); and legal obligations (tax records).
4. Email and your consent
When you buy or sign up for something free, we use your information to deliver it. We may also send you marketing emails about similar products and resources. If you are in a place that requires opt-in consent (such as the EU, UK or Canada), we will ask for it first, for example with a checkbox at signup.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email [email protected] at any time. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails within 10 business days. We will still send service messages about your purchase or account, because those are part of delivering what you bought.
We will only publish a testimonial, quote, name, photo or result you share with us if you give us permission. You can ask us to remove it later.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share information only with service providers who help us run the Services, and only what they need to do that job:
Provider | What they do |
|---|---|
Carrd | Hosts our website |
Thinkific | Hosts the course, accounts, checkout and course emails |
Stripe and/or PayPal | Process payments |
Notion | Hosts AI prompts and other resources you access through our products |
These providers have their own privacy policies, which govern how they handle your information.
We may also disclose information:
- When required by law, such as a subpoena, court order or valid government request
- To protect our rights, our customers or the public, including to prevent fraud or piracy of course content
- If our business or any of our products is sold, merged or transferred. The new owner would be bound by this policy for the information it receives, and we would tell you before your information became subject to a different policy.
6. Payments
Payments are handled by third-party processors such as Stripe or PayPal, which are certified under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your card details go directly to the processor. We never receive or store your full card number.
We keep a record of your purchase (what you bought, when, the amount, and the last four digits of your card) for customer support, refunds, and tax and accounting purposes.
7. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Our course site uses:
- Essential cookies that keep you logged in, remember your cart and keep the site secure. The site won't work properly without them.
- Analytics cookies that tell us which pages are visited and how our courses are used, so we can improve it.
Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop our courses from working.
There is no common standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, so we do not respond to them. Where required by law, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out request.
8. How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as we need it:
Information | How long |
|---|---|
Account and course activity | While your account is active, plus 2 years after your last login, then deleted or anonymized |
Purchase and tax records | 7 years, as needed for tax and accounting law |
Marketing email list | Until you unsubscribe; we keep your address on a suppression list so we don't email you again |
Support emails | 2 years after the issue is resolved |
You can ask us to delete your information sooner (section 10).
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (TLS) connections on our course site, reputable providers with strong security programs, strong passwords and two-factor authentication on our own accounts, and limiting access to the people who need it.
No method of storing or sending data online is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
10. Your privacy rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your information, except what we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons
- Stop sending you marketing emails
- Withdraw any consent you gave us
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK, California or other U.S. states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights, such as restricting or objecting to certain uses, getting your data in a portable format, or appealing a decision we make about your request.
To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request." We may ask you to confirm your identity, usually by replying from the email address on your account. We will respond within 30 days (45 days where state law allows). We will not treat you differently or charge you more for exercising your rights.
If you are in the EU or UK and aren't satisfied with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
11. AI tools, other sites, children and international users
AI tools you use with our prompts. Our products give you prompts to use in AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. When you paste your LinkedIn profile, resume or other details into those tools, you share that information with the AI company, not with us, and its privacy policy applies. We recommend removing details you don't want shared (such as your phone number or home address) and checking the tool's settings for whether your chats are used for training.
Links to other sites. Our products link to sites we don't control, including LinkedIn and AI tools. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
Children. The Services are for adults and are not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users. We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the U.S. or other countries. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for transfers out of the EU or UK.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our Services or the law change. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If we make a material change, such as using your information in a new way, we will also email customers at least 14 days before it takes effect.
